❓ Frequently Asked Questions
How do I start tracking my baby's activities?
Tap the "+" button on the home screen, select an activity type (feeding, diaper, etc.), and fill in the details. For timed activities like breastfeeding or pumping, you can use the built-in timers.
How do background timers work?
When you start a breastfeeding or pumping timer, it continues running even if you close the app or your phone goes to sleep. The timer state is automatically restored when you return to the app.
What's included with Tots Premium?
Tots Premium unlocks Insights, CloudKit family sharing, multiple baby profiles, enhanced widgets, and every new pro feature we launch. Subscriptions sync automatically across devices signed in with the same Apple ID.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad, select Tots, and choose a new plan or cancel. Apple handles billing, so premium access remains active until the current period ends.
Can I edit or delete activities?
Yes! Tap on any activity in your history to edit it. You can also delete activities by swiping left on them in the activity list.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings and look for the "Export Data" option. This will create a CSV file with all your baby's data that you can save or share.
What are Live Activities?
Live Activities show your active timers and upcoming activities on your iPhone's lock screen and Dynamic Island. Enable them in Settings → Live Activity.
How do growth charts work?
Enter your baby's measurements in the Growth section. The app automatically plots them on WHO growth charts with percentile curves based on your baby's gender.
What analytics does Tots collect?
We collect anonymous usage events—like screen views, onboarding steps, reminder updates, and subscription status—to help prioritize improvements. We never upload baby names, notes, or growth measurements. You can disable analytics under Settings → Privacy → Share Analytics.
🔧 Troubleshooting
Timers Not Working
- Make sure you have the latest version of the app
- Try restarting the app
- Check that you have sufficient storage space
- If the issue persists, contact support
iCloud Sync Issues
- Ensure you're signed into iCloud on your device
- Check that iCloud Drive is enabled
- Verify you have iCloud storage space available
- Try signing out and back into iCloud
Live Activities Not Showing
- Live Activities require iOS 16.1 or later
- Enable Live Activities in Settings → Live Activity
- Live Activities are not supported in the iOS Simulator
- Make sure you have active timers running
